Empowering our youth


About us

Mission: to empower young people in marginalized rural areas through the provision of accurate, up to date information on issues that directly affect them, their families and communities at large and help them make responsible choices in life.
Objectives
We target the following groups

 

1. Collect and disseminate useful information to young people and their initiatives/projects.
2. Ensure that youth projects have access to useful information that can lead to the accomplishment their goals.
3. Engage and involve young people in meaningful activities that will boost their socio-economic growth.
4. Create equal opportunities for young people in marginalized rural areas.
5. Assist minority youth projects access and obtain assistance both locally and internationally.
6. Facilitate cultural interaction among young people both regionally and internationally as a way of sharing and disseminating information.

ACHIEVEMENTS

 

Some of the achievements attained by Tag-Kenya since we started are:

1. We have been able to visit and facilitate sessions to more than 40 high schools on different issues such as aids, sexuality, relationships, drug abuse and other youth related crises.
2. We have been able to visit and facilitate sessions to more than 20 primary schools on different issues including HIV/AIDs, sexuality, drugs abuse e.t.c
3. We have been able to train more than 300 rural youth on basic computer packages /skills through our mobile computer training programme for rural communities.
4. We have been able to train about 400 youths on basic leadership skills, project planning and management, job creation and poverty reduction skills through our well-designed youth empowerment workshops.
5. We have been able to visit and facilitate sessions to more than 10 churches on HIV/AIDS and other related issues.
6. We have been able to offer fruit processing and juice making demonstration workshops to more than 100 youth.
